Oct. 15: Usually I can’t wait for elections to be over. This cycle feels different. The longer it goes on, the more Republicans alienate people and the better it is for the Democrats. This likely will be the dynamic until the last polls close (in the Aleutian Islands at 1 AM ET November 4, by the way). The Republican self-ons have put states such as South Carolina, Kansas and Mississippi in play. There is no reason to believe the party will do anything but continue to hurt itself.
